Job description:

The role of Research Assistant is to provide desk research support to planners to assist them in the development of communication strategies and proposals to current and potential clients. Reporting to the Planner, with mentoring from Senior Planners and Planning Directors, tasks and responsibilities will include:

* Gathering competitor intelligence from public sources, principally via the Internet
* Assembling and organising competitor communication materials using a combination of online sources and mystery shopping
* Digesting and summarising client and syndicated research studies
* Collating visual and numerical information in Powerpoint documents
* Conducting consumer vox pops and basic observational research
* Delivering basic analysis and deductions from initial data
* Assisting in preparation for client workshops’
* Hours of work will be 9.30am – 5.30pm, Mon – Fri.

Essential requirments:

* Fluent spoken and written business English
* Competence with full MS Office suite
* Mature and credible presentation style
* Curiosity, enterprise and tenacity
* Good interpersonal skills
* Good, clear communication skills – written and verbal
* Attention to detail
* Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and re-prioritise tasks
* Enthusiastic
* Pro-active

* Located in central London, a few minutes from Barbican tube station.

Remuneration:

Allowance of £800 a month will be provided to assist with accommodation and subsistence costs.
